Select/paste has never worked *within* openoffice/libreoffice. It only works to/from another application and openoffice/libreoffice. I wish it did too. The copy buffer works fine, just not the select buffer (highlight/middle-mouse paste) I remember reading why years ago, but have long since forgotten... -- David C.
