I'm using http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/mrbadguy:/gimp-unstable/ both for Leap 42.3 and Tumbleweed. TW has 2.10, but Leap seems still on gimp-2.9.9.git.20180217.bdab2829ef (better than nothing ...)
I cannot judge the quality of the repo Per mentioned, the one I use so far has been extremely reliable and never caused problems for me.
I tried your repository, but without luck.
It ended with this error message:
"GLib version too old (micro mismatch) GIMP requires GLib version 2.54.2 or later. Installed GLib version is 2.48.2.
Somehow you or your software packager managed to install GIMP with an older GLib version. Please upgrade to GLib version 2.54.2 or later."
Then it became really problematic. I have not been able to find GLib 2.54.2 on the Opensuse site. So what to do now?
zypper -v up libglib-2_0-0 since you are installing packages from outside the regular repos, you will probably have to add repos containing other gimp requirements. and if you are not somewhat familiar with that process, you may put your systen into deep, deep, do-do. backup, backup, backup -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
