SuSE 8.2 has it on cd4; use YAST to install it then in a shell CD to /usr/lib/AntiVir and enter "antivir --update" and it will go on the web and get the newest virus definition files from H+BDEV.
Other than that I am learning it too. All sugestions for parameters and operation gladly accepted!
It works fine, although I no longer use it. You need to be root, or su, to update but any user can antivir --update --check to see if new virus signatures are available. Be aware that if you use postfix + antivir and a virus is detected it will send an alert to the sender with a return address of virusalert@domain and a warning to root/postmaster. I wasn't keen on this warning to sender so disabled it, can't remember where as it's been a while since last used. As long as root gets the warning root can decide if the alert to sender is needed.
