this previous bug report is confusing, most of the discussion being on an other subject than the one given as title.
Yeah, basically, something got broken in regards to it, and instead of fixing it, it got removed. It's a really needed feature on Old World Macs because of the way you have to boot. You can't get the actual installed kernel and initrd files from the CD/DVD, so you have to drop to a console and copy them before the system reboots. A really big pain to say the least.
so I opened a new bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401804 against 11, as enhancement. We should at least have a rescue cd with this feature (it's not really practical to say to people use the cd of the previous distro)
