Most stable at high resolutions *2D* video card?

Hi Folks, Just wondering if anyone had opinions on what card would be best for 2D on SuSE 9.0, as far as stability and speed at 1600x1200@85hz. I'm sick of all the Nvidia problems I'm having, I'm considering getting something else completely. 3D performance (or even support) is of no importance to me. Thanks, Matt Beazer
