I was told several months ago that hplip does not work with systems below 10.0. Is this true or not? And if not true, how can I determine what value of hplip might be on the machine, if any?

But isn't it more important to keep in mind that v9.3 is no longer supported by Novell? (Wasn't there a message about this from Marcus a few weeks ago?) Rather than keep fooling around with v9.3 I think it would be prudent to install v10.3 (considering that v11.0 is "just around the corner").
