For testing purpose i use a virtual machine like OpenSuSE 11.2 64bit, but it don't start. When try to start, gives me a message like this:
This Kernel requires an x86-CPU but only detected an i686 CPU.
But, the host machine is a 64bit, as u can see:
Linux lab-250 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2009-10-26 15:49:03 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Quite often you will need a bios setting to run a virtual x86_64 machine on an x86_64 host. Without that, you can't get x86_64 guests to run. -- If stupidity got us into this mess, then why can't it get us out? - Will Rogers -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
