Dear Mike, I've had Reiserfs from 8.1 on 2 systems, (one SCSI and the other IDE ) without the slightest problem for several months now. (Knock wood). PeterB On Sunday 24 November 2002 05:00 pm, mike wrote:
I allowed SuSE to dictate how I partition MY hard-drves on MY system (how Microsoftian!) and followed Mark Gray's advice about the barrier=none addition, and have been running for a while, cross your fingers.
On a related note, if reiserfs has problems why did SuSE adopt it for the / partition, moving away from ext3 (which was the default on 7.3, I think)?
