Hi all,
Thanks for the reply I have received for my problem.
Now I have start ypbind in debug mode, and get the following output:
/sbin/init.d/ypclient start Starting ypbindcleared entry for domain bagus.hawedo.com: server 0.0.0.0, port 0parsing config file Trying entry: ypserver 192.168.1.1
parsed ypserver 192.168.1.1 bindto_server: domain bagus.hawedo.com, host 192.168.1.1 clnt_create for server 192.168.1.1 failed
I have set up both server and client with YAST. But using YAST to set up YP SERVER does not ask for YP SERVER NAME? Where do I set the YP sever name on the server site. I have used my server host name and ip number on the client site, /etc/yp.conf. Sometimes I get also an error output which says host 192.168.1.1 (my server ip number) is not served by bagus.hawedo.com.
Can somebody help me out.
It looks like your domain name may be wrong, it must match one that your YP server serves. Under SunOS each domain has a directory under /var/yp and it looks like Linux follows suit so you can check it on your server or run domainname there to see what you have set. /Michael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
