I'd like to know if there's a way to implement Peerguardian (http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/) type of funtion in Linux/openSUSE? What I want is to have a regularly updated blocklists from (http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/) and implement these rules (after converting them with Blocklist Converter) in the firewall/iptables. These lists tend to grow big, 5-6 MBs if all IP ranges are merged into one. Therefore I'd like to also know if there's any performance penalty during operation. During start I can understand if it takes longer, but it's the operational performance I'm interested in. As a sidenote, on WinXP the Peerguardian program with the above mentioned list shows as 0-1% in Task Manager, which is negligible. Is there any script/program out there that fills my needs, or do I have to study up on Bash scripting and iptables? /J -- "In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
