for beta2 of kde, export LANG=EN in /etc/profile was all it took, I'm not sure if beta3 is different
As far as I think, /etc/profile is read when a shell is started. I'm starting kdm by defaulting to runlevel 3. Anyway, it is just the _order_ of languages presented in the Languages dropdown i want to change. The greeting string and all labels _are_ already english, Yast talks english as well. I think of changing something in kdmrc, as the available sessions and most kdm properties are listed there as well, i just do not know what to set there. Thanks Oliver

hello!
i just installed suse 5.1 and the kdm beta 3 packages from the suse ftp server. everything is fine, but when the kdm frontpanel pops up, it first shows de tahn en as order in the language dropdown. as mopst of the users do not speak german, i would like it do default to english.
does anyone know what to set in kdmrc?
