I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my 11.2 install on my Eee netbook. I'm running a default install of 11.2 with KDE4 updated to 4.4.1 from Factory. I've done one small tweak to the WiFi config to get the WiFi working right... iwconfig wlan0 power off Not sure if this bit is relevant, but... it's the only "non-standard" tweak that's been done to a default install. Now on to the problem. Periodically, with no pattern I can see, the netbook locks up solid, and the Caps Lock LED starts to flash. The only way out is to do a hard reset and restart. There is nothing recorded in /var/log/messages between the last normal log entry and the start of the boot entries. I'm not seeing anything that explicitly states a kernel panic has happened (except the flashing Caps Lock LDE)... not really sure where to look to track down what is happening to cause the hard lockup. Any ideas? C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
