Staroffice 5.0 installed and registered just fine for me, but I have a question. There is a new filter patch for Staroffice 5.0 and I was wondering if anyone had an ftp address for the patch..or does one have to download the new patched version ..all 70some megs of it?
No .. thankfully it installed without a hiccup. Only the registration seems to fail. I have a lot of memory though and that might save me.
Very strange. I guess I will go about deleting the damn install and trying again as someone else suggested. Does anyone have a clue as to what files I need to delete?
I opted for buying the cd version of it instead of downloading it. The update occurs rather well on SuSE 6 systems; in fact, when you do the patch it finds the earlier install, alerts you to the glibc requirement, says it cannot find the glibc libs, but you are using SuSE 6 so all should be fine. I always thought that anyways!! I knew that if I used SuSE 6 all would be well :) -- Michael E.
