SuSE 90 Pro change kmail from maildir to mbox system folders

Hi Can I change the system mailbox folder formats back to mbox fairly easily or will I have to reinstall 9.0 Pro? I just installed 9.0 Pro and apparently accepted the maldir format for kmail. I want all received mail to be in mbox format and not identified by a "unique ID number" such as assigned by maildir. I will be moving 167,000 emails from 7.3 Pro. and want all new messages to function as they did in 7.3. I move the folders around a lot using Konqueror and its much easier to identify them in mbox format. Thanks Tom Land
