Hi.
Again I want to get K3B to work. I have had the subject discussed before, but so far no luck.
If I want to run a test_copying, it complains about cdrdao. I use a SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-612F drive to be read from, and it is working ok in all situations before this. I cannot find a driver for it on:
http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt
Here's the logfile: [...] ----------------------- Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables. ERROR: No driver found for 'SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-612F', available drivers: the 'generic-mmc-raw' driver should work. ERROR: Cannot setup device 0,0,0.
cdrdao comand: ----------------------- /usr/bin/cdrdao read-cd --device 0,0,0 --paranoia-mode 3 -n -v 2 --eject --remote 20 --datafile /tmp/kde-erik/k3b_0.img /tmp/kde-erik/k3b_0.toc
What and where is the generic-mmc-raw driver to be found ?.
Any suggestions to get me up working with the K3B are more than welcome.
I had the same problem with an LG writer, but it suggested the 'generic-mmc' instead. Anyway, this one and 'generic-mmc-raw' are in the list of the default drivers for cdrdao in my system. To select it I simply have to run K3B-setup and select the right one, instead of 'auto', when requested. Hope it helps. Alberto Vecchiato
