You can not, it is a ram disk. You would have to create them on every boot, and be aware that it might interfere with automatic mounting of external devices, so don't complain.
The best would be to accept the changes and go to /mnt, like it or not, inconvenient or not.
So... what did I do "wrong"? I set up mount points for several things (eg my NAS drive) in /media. Works fine in openSUSE 12.2. I don't run into any issue with needing recreate mount points, and automount for newly attached devices works fine as well.
