Hi,
I'm using openSUSE 13.1, on my 32 bit machine. I need to work with OpenOffice document. But I'm not getting any software for my version of SUSE. I checked here - https://en.opensuse.org/OpenOffice.org. Nothing I found for 13.1. I got one link - http://www.itzgeek.com/how-tos/linux/opensuse/how-to-install-openoffice-org-... , but it is for 12.1. Is there any repository through which I can get it in 13.1 ? I tried to search through zypper also, but didn't get it as I don't have the repo added for the OpenOffice software.
The project had some trouble (due Sun being brought by Oracle) and did a fork. This fork is called "LibreOffice". Now a days OpenOffice is in the hands of the Apache foundation, but most Linux-Distros have held fast on LibreOffice. For most users, the differences may be in the handling / surface, but not where it matters most: the file handling. LibreOffice is in the standard repo / install media for openSUSE 13.1.
