If the user's not got a terminal session, they're not going to see it (and often won't see it even if they do). Is there an easy way (1) to block new logins, and (2) to see who's logged in? Okay, it wasn't *nix, but that was always my standard technique - disable logins, log everyone out, and reboot. And my kde - when you try to shut down - kicks up a warning saying who else is logged in. Important seeing as it's the family server and often has multiple sessions on vt7, vt8, vt9, and occasionally even more :-) Cheers, Wol -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
