I recently purchased SuSE 9.0 Pro and was wondering where I can obtain the boot.iso file for SuSE 9 so that I can do network installs over the LAN from my NFS server? I thought in SuSE 8.2, this file was located in the /boot directory on CD1. I don't see any .iso files on any of the five CDs in 9.0.
Why can't you use CD1 for that purpose? Just put an info file on a floppy pointing to your installation source, boot off CD1 and there you go. An example info file follows: (use your own IPs, of course) Language: en_US Install: http://172.21.1.126/stuff/SuSE/9.0 HostIP: 172.21.1.187 Netmask: 255.255.0.0 Gateway: 172.21.0.1 Server: 172.21.1.126 Nameserver: 172.21.1.126 Textmode: 1 AutoYaST: http://172.21.1.126/stuff/autoyast/neck.xml Regards, -Kastus
