In your APACHE_MODULES lines above, I don't see any 'dav' - I think you need that too.

Hi Per, You are absolutely correct. It needed dav in there: APACHE_MODULES="authz_host actions alias auth_basic authz_groupfile authn_file authz_user autoindex cgi dir include log_config mime negotiation setenvif status userdir asis imagemap php5 dav dav_svn authz_svn authz_default" Why this should suddenly have happened, I don't know; and I guess I never will.
