I'm running suse 8.2, kernel 2.4.20 with postfix 2.0.6. I'm sure that this question has already been asked but I have been unable to find it in the archives and I've been in google hell with it for several hours now without turning up a real answer other than this seems to be specific to the latest suse releases. I just want to get port 25 to accept outside connections. I have "inet_interfaces" set to "all" in main.cf, which is about the only fix I've found any mention of but it isn't fixing the problem. netstat shows the smtp service listening on 172.0.0.1:25. I've also set "POSTFIX_NULLCLIENT" to "no" in sysconfig\postfix. I know that port 25 is open on the firewall because I am able to connect to my isp's mail server on port 25 with no problems. From the mail server I am able to telnet to localhost 25 and send mail just fine. Any advice is appreciated.
