iSCSI . . OOO! fuzzy! or eeewww! scuzzy!

Any experience with iScsi on LEAP 15.5 or the like? Making nice with VmWare ESXi 6.5 and maybe above? I may want to spend some cold dark winter days making use of a few excess 64 bit machines I have laying about.
