I know SLES is different from opensuse but i am hoping that someone here maybe has done this. SLES12 comes with gnome with no out-of-the-box chance to install KDE. Is there a way to install KDE cleanly when gnome has been installed? In last under RPM packages, there is an option for KDE
In YaST you'd be better off using the 'Patterns' filter and selecting KDE from there. That will provide you with a default KDE setup with the most important and popular packages. You might then want to tweak the default DE and login manager in the YaST sysconfig editor. If you choose KDM you'll get a selector at login to choose the DE (but maybe it's now LightDM as default for KDE in 13.2, I'm not sure).
