Hi,
I'm running OS 12.3, and until recently I had used an (older, 11.64) version of Opera directly downloaded from opera.
Due to issues with vimeo, I did an upgrade to 12.16, and used the OS version in the zyp repository. However, with this version I was unable to choose a proper file selection dialog. Normally, you can do this in opera:config,
select qt,kde, gtk or X versions. Whatever I selected there, I always got
and the
same dialog (probably the plain X one?), which doesn't support things like autocomplete or 'recent files', which really is a PITA.
So I grabbed the (same) version from opera, and bingo - I get the proper file dialog back.
So what's the issue with the repository version? Is this a specially compiled version? Or an older, buggy one? Intended, or bug?
Pit
To make better integration of opera with desktop environment (using package from openSUSE repository), you should also install one of the following packages opera-kde4 or opera-gtk. Those libraries are integrated in rpm from opera website. -- Pozdrawiam / Best regards, Mariusz Fik openSUSE Community Member GPG: 5FCE 7241 B3B9 32FD 455B C30E 42D6 6C88 9E83 7C3D -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
