Most likeley because whoever wrote the script for the site made it browser
specific for these 2 and forgot that other browsers may want to access. This
can easily be fixed by having a failover option in your script as well. I'm
still finding one about ever 2 months and most have been written by amateurs
or have been there for a few years and forgotten about.
Just write to the site Administrator or the webpage's contact and let them
know about it, they usually don't know. From all except one i've had a thank
you. Their web page has usually been fixed a week or so later and i've been
sent a message to please test and check it's ok.
A little help from the users often make it easier for other users.
