You mean as a separate partition, a small 20 MiB, say? I always use ext2 for that, no need for a journal there. A small xfs partition doesn't make sense, imo, neither does reiser (it has a minimun size of 100MiB, by the way). If you mean /boot as a directory of /, I don't know. I use ext3 for my root partition, then xfs or reiser for data. I like all of them, actually, but my fancy is for reiser, although I have been bitten. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
