I was using Control panel, system, kernel configurator. I was not in the /usr/src/linux, but if it is built in, I guess I should need to do anything except find out why the firewire drive is not recognized. If anyone has any idea on this, please let me know. The kernel configurator shows the IEEE1394 support as a module. When I click to make a check mark, it asks to config file, then it comes up and says to run "make symlinks dep" now. When I run that, I get make:***No rule to make target 'symlinks'. Stop.
Our kernels already have the IEEE1394 support enabled. Do you have your_source_tree symlinked to /usr/src/linux? Are you in /usr/src/linux when running 'make symlinks'? It sounds like you are using xconfig...you really should menuconfig as I'm not sure if xconfig is really maintained anymore. -- -ckm -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com
