I've yet to get any useful information about 1394 Firewire disk support under SuSE 7.3 Pro from the SuSE hardware database.
Is anyone using 1394 Firewire disks under SuSE? You can get a large disk for the money on Firewire, which would seem to be fine for a nightly backup repository...
Maxtor Direct offers a 160 GB 3000XT external disk, with 1394 FireWire, i.LINK interface, for $399.95. Seems like a lot of disk for the money, if it will work with SuSE 7.3...
