[opensuse] spell checking ("Rechtschreibprüfung") in kwrite not working (leap)

Hello, On my opensuse leap laptop spell checking in kwrite is not working. I can select the dictionary but then only a message box with "spell checking" appears, that does nothing and goes away on click. Meanwhile in the bottom line of the window there seems to be displayed an spelling error, but it's almost transparent I can't do anything there... How can I have spell checking as I had it in 13.2?
