[opensuse] Last update of lightdm and shown users

Hi all, I am using openSUSE 12.3 and the last official update of lightdm has changed my choice of not showing users. Is this the expected behavior? How can I prevent this to happen again without having to check/adapt the conf file after each update (and possibly for each package involving a conf file)?
