Is 7.0 live cd of no use at all?

Hello I was willing to install 7.0 on one of my pcs but when I tried to do it using livecd 7.0 I've got the worse system one could wish. Have I done something wrong? Or livecd is not for everyday use? Livecd 7.0 depends all the time from stuff on the cd - This is a nightmare! Thanks a lot. Eduardo
