Hi Folks, I use both Slackware and SuSE and wanted to briefly mention the improvements I am having here with SuSE 9.2 in the role of a user and that I haven't been on Windows all week now. The only Windows program I use is Namo Web editor and a couple of games: On my Athlon XP Soyo home built: 1. Firefox has full functionality with the integrated BBC Real player now 2. WYSIWYG Web editing seems to work well with OpenOffice.org Web: I am going to try simpler web sites with it. I don't need massive features of Dreamweaver for tables of text and graphics. 3. I have moved completely to Kontact now and will dump Outlook 2003. 4. My sound and CD burner all work without tweaking, only had to get some new files for Xine as usual. 5. On the Dell Notebook everything worked including the touchpad. 6. My daughter is satisfied with the games and uses KDE to do homework. 7. All my Realtor work applications are Web-based so no problem there. The only thing I need to do is create some templates in OpenOffice.org. Actually I will use MS and convert them.
