Someone else on the list may be able to help you with this. For obvious reasons (I work for SuSE) I cannot. The "not 100% native mode" statement means there is another bus besides and ISA bus...meaning a PCI bus. You can ignore this..it means nothing. * Massimo Arnaudo (arnaudo_linux@tin.it) [001114 12:24]: -**-Hi everibody, -**-i find this message from my bootlog -**- -**-<4>ALI15X3: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev 80 -**-<4>ALI15X3: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later -**-<4>ALI15X3: simplex device: DMA disabled -**-<4>ide0: ALI15X3 Bus-Master DMA disabled (BIOS) -**-<4>ALI15X3: simplex device: DMA disabled -**-<4>ide1: ALI15X3 Bus-Master DMA disabled (BIOS) -**- -**-so i can now understand why i can not start the DMA on my computer! -**- -**-But now: how i can resolve this problem? -**-With the new realese of the Kernel?
