ditto. I've begun moving my systems and those I care for (for pay) from OpenSUSE and it's variants (including SLES/SLED) to other distributions. It's painful, but necessary. Stability is paramount for me to be credible. The Suse line is no longer stable.
I happen to fix twice a month various computers, very few with openSUSE, and I can say all the distributions have some problem on time...

I've been caring for systems since the early 80s. Systems DO break. patches, updates and upgrades aren't supposed to to that. Basic functionality has historically been tested. If a web server is included, it should actually server web pages correctly. When such an error is detected the response should NOT be, "use something else". When Suse was a boxed product, I paid money to buy it for each new release. It was a high quality, rich environment and I had no problem paying for that and recommending it to my employers, colleagues and clients. In the last few years, it has become a sandbox... The kind the kitty uses, full of unpleasant surprises. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
