The answer by Doug McGarrett is not any way related to the original problem. If I go to http://www.usdf.org/pdf/convention/2005RegistrationRegisInfo.pdf I get a blank page after the file is downloaded on one machine, the other is OK. Both machines are configured the same except Firefox does not show PDF in preferences, downloads,files types
I would have a look at the plug-ins you have and make you have acrobat installed as one of them. If installed properly it will not ask you to download the pdf it will do so on its own and open the pdf in the browser. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
