The developers are in aw with how great the latest Linux features are while the users are horrified at their inability to make Linux work and the constant change. On a practical matter change should be limited to the Internet and downloads. Commercial level CD should be rock solid stable and install on anything. Which is not the situation so sophisticated users simply go elsewhere Ubuntu.
