You want to upgrade the supplied versions of your software with:
Amarok, amarok-xine, flash-player, k3b (upgrade it and add k3b-mad), kaffeine, lame, MPlayer, RealPlayer, xine-ui, xmms.
Then you will be able to play pretty much every multimedia file out there. GSM excepted.
