I just installed Leap 15.5 on my home server computer. The install seemed to go ok and the system is up and running, sort of. online updates hang and then finally timeout. Yast package manager won't load. Firefox cannot navigate to opensuse.org but I am able to surf elsewhere and even play a Youtube video. On my Windows PC I am able to navigate to opensuse.org which is how I downloaded the installation media but for reason I don't understand the Leap 15.5 PC just doesn't like opensuse.
Any idea why only opensuse is a problem with this PC? I have a bad feeling like that guy from from the movie "Airplane" that my timing is bad. I remember talk about possible demise of Leap but I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem.
Mirrors trouble tricked me into thinking I had computer/networking trouble around the time of your post. I worked around it by using ftp5.gwdg.de URLs instead of *.opensuse.org URLs in my repo files. #opensuse-admin on IRC reported things seem to have been fixed, but I saw no report yet what actually happened. Just try again. As you found, web was working for you, just not download.opensuse.org. It should be OK now. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! Felix Miata
