I *think* the trick is to use kppp which takes care of most of the necessary set-up for you. When I called SuSE and told them I was trying to use diald, etc. they told me just to use kppp and its GUI based ISP configuration instead.
I've yet to get round to configuring ppp and I don't much like KDE so I'm using Window Maker. Presumably I can't use kppp in this case, is that right? If so what other method is recommended. I've tried the susePPP setup with YaST and that doesn't seem to work at all.
You may use kppp with other wms. Just start it from the command line. lunaslide * PGP key->pgpkeys.mit.edu port 11371 * * * * * * * ...the really profound changes in human life all have their ultimate origin in knowledge pursued for its own sake. * * * * * -Alfred North Whitehead * * * * * * * * - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
