Shouldn't we assume that because it doesn't work that way, Soundblaster is providing the tool?
No, I thought that the feature had been reverse engineered, after a decade :-D The headphones jack is useless without it. I seem to remember that it never worked. I used the socket in the back or a jack in the loudspeakers I used then.
First of all, Soundblaster is not interested in Linux, and what you are using is a kernel driver, and what you say "should" be possible by creating a separate software?
It's not about the driver.
"Should" as in machine can not make use of headphone jack without such a similar software feature. As you confirm this doesn't exist, I'll try get a extension cord from Amazon. Need a stereo jack extension cable plus an USB extension cable, this speaker set uses the USB for power.

If you want to do it, go ahead.
I tried Plasma. I get a pop up message when I plug the headphones, but otherwise the problem is the same. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.3 (Legolas))
