HI! Sorry this "silly" question but,if i want to uppgrade my "GCC",or my "LIBC",how i do it ?,or whis packaghes i use ?
SuSe-5.3 is my OS?. (the broplem is,"i can't complie any ".src.gz,rpm or deb files".
PS: I ask but i cant english !. Um, I don't advise you to fool with major system libraries unless you are VERY confident and an experienced user. I have seen WAY too many posts from people fooling around with this stuff and frying things. S.u.S.E. will upgrade to glibc come S.u.S.E. 6.0 maybe wait till then. If not there are how-tos for egcs and glibc that are available to the genuinely curious. My advice: make a test installation, or put it on a developmental system box so you can play with it and make sure your system's secure, before changing your default.
