[opensuse] openSuSE 10.3 display resolution problem

I have installed openSuSE 10.3 alpha 5 and I have an odd problem when setting display resolution. In sax2 it is correctly reported as 1440x900, but actually it is 1024x768 and I cannot change it from the desktop (right click, configure desktop, display, etc.) Is there a way to solve this?
