[opensuse] rcpowersaverd

My computer, suse 10.0 with KDE is having problems it overheats and quits when I restart and state kde i get a message box saying that rcpowerseverd is not running and should be so I run rcpowersaverd start and it tells me it is already running What can I do about this?
