I'm having an odd problem on my HP nx6125 notebook. When I unplug the charger, my CPU usage jumps up to around 60-80% If I look at top, the offending process is kacpid, but restarting acpid doesn't make a difference. If I restart powersaved, CPU usage is normal for a few seconds, and then jumps up again. This doesn't do my batterylife any favours...
Actually, there's another problem. When the screen goes into dpms "off" mode, it only remains off for a second or so, and then switches on again, just remain blank. If I do it manually: xset dpms force off It does the same. Hans
