Hi, Before I get my hands dirtier, I would like to confirm if it's possible to telnet (and ftp) my home computer, which does not have a permanent internet connection, only a simple dial-up connection. Is there simple guidelines for me to follow? Maybe a website? I tried SuSE database, but no luck. HOWTO's as well... 3 Linux books, including "Running Linux." Thanks in advance, Alvaro ps. etc/inetd.conf contains the following lines: # ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd wu.ftpd -a # Note: I guess I should uncomment the line above and comment the one below. # wuftpd seems to be preferred over ftpd. ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.ftpd telnet stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.telnetd -- -- -- -- -- Alvaro A.
