Nope. Can't get rid of this error. Tried restarting ftp-proxy, SuSEfirewall2 (with and without the redirection), inetd (for vsftpd) and removing CHROOT from /etc/vsftpd.conf. Any clues? BTW: my original aim was simply to allow my clients to be able to use ftp out to the internet. At the moment only the server can do that. Steve.
