Subject: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Simple unix question Date: Mon, Feb 16, 1998 at 10:34:43PM -0500 In reply to:zentara Quoting zentara(zentara@mindspring.com):
Hi, I know this is a SuSe setup message board, but I have a simple little question.
When I make changes to my .bashrc or .profile, I have to logout and relogon to have the change put into effect.
I remember reading their is a command you can use to re-read the .bashrc file and put the changes into effect without reloging on.
I just can't seem to find it now. Can you inform me of the command?
source .bashrc or source .bash_profile
Thanks

Just about every computer on the market today runs Unix, except the Mac
(and nobody cares about it).
