It was nice playing around with 10.3 but after loosing the use of my CDrom and unable to use my TV card I am back now with 10.2 where everything functions as it should. Have no idea what has changed within the two versions but with my older hardware, a P II I ran into too much troubles with 10.3. I will be back regularly to update 10.3 and see if it has improved enough to get it working on my machine. For now I have at least a working platform. If this is the direction of newer software I see black for older hardware. Lets not give up hope.
it's of non use to change to a newer distro (eventually, when it becomes obsolete, but it's not the case of 10.2) a working system :-)
however, losing a cd seems too much, even for a new distro. if not a hardware problem, fill a bugreport, thanks
Not a hardware problem because it works in 10.2 ;). Thanks all for the idea of bug report. Will be the next thing I will do after looking for more than two weeks for my cdrom. That my TV card stopped working was not discovered until some days ago. A reason for me to first go back to my 10.2 and than look for solutions. Have to find out how bug reports work but that can be certainly be found in Wiki and such. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
