date

Hi! I've got this problem: I have a mail server with SUSE 7.1 which has the date that keeps running ahead as a madman. Any hour the system goes ahead lots of minutes, at the end of the day the system goes ahead by days......... The "hwclock" is right....the "date" instead after doing a "netdate" with a ntp server keeps getting ahead like a minute for each minute. can anyone give me any help with this?
