What do I need to do to allow file sharing on the Linux Box? Is this even possible?
Yes it is! SuSE comes with Netatalk, which allows the Linux box to show up in the Mac's Chooser. (1) Go into YaST2 Control Center (unless you're already root, it will prompt you for the root password) (2) Click on "System" icon on the left side. (3) Click on "RC-Config Editor" (4) Expand the section called "Start-Variables" (5) Inside Start-Variables, expand the subsection called "Start-Network" (6) Under Start-Network click on "start_atalk" and set it to YES. You may have to restart the Linux machine. Now, assuming your Macs are on the same network at the Linux box, it should show up under the Chooser. --------------------------- Eric Carbone MOR Printing, Inc.
